Two lovely apartments in the Orange Grove

"The Orange Grove " is one minute off the main C12 route and in the countryside. This pleasing property nestles amongst beautiful orange orchards. If they are in blossom there scent will live on in your memory long after the holiday is over.

Cat & carp fishing package holidays with self-catering accommodation available now from late summer and right through autumn.

Your host Peter is a font of information like where to eat out, what to visit and the many activities available.

And he would also love to play a round of golf with you - or at least point you in the right directions to tee off in the Spanish sun.

It is ideally situated in Raval de Jesus, which is only 5 minutes drive from Medieval Tortosa - a town that is gearing up for tourist growth without loosing its historic culture

This "masia" has been reformed tastefully into apartments for rental with special consideration for holidaymakers in mind. The owner lives in the third apartment, but your privacy is assured.

There are abundant sun loungers and shade on the pool terrace if required - or take one onto the lawn. Various games are available and plenty of parking for cars and boats. It is an ideal family holiday spot to settle the grandparents ( "babysitters-on-tour") into the Apartment 1 and have the family size one for yourselves.

Apartment 1 is upstairs and has a very large sun terrace with uninterrupted views to Mont Caro and the Els Ports mountain range. The apartment includes a large telescope so you can witness amazing night skies, after enjoying a private barbecue with good local wine or cava. Enjoy the coolness of the evenings on your terrace after a dip in the pool.

It has one double bedroom with countryside views and a beautiful tiled and modern shower room. The French doors in the lounge out on to the terrace, and it also has a sofa divan and a large English television.
This one bedroom apartment is large enough for a small family with kiddies on the divan bed. It is ideal for couples or for the discerning tourist traveling alone.

Apartment 2 is ground level with peaceful views to the lawn and trees from the living room and patio. Includes a large English television and independent music system and large comfy L-shaped suite with a definite snooze factor. Dining room table to seat 4 people. The kitchen has a breakfast table for 2, fridge, gas hob, microwave, electric grill and is well stocked with good crockery, glasses and pans. The entrance door has a slope up to it to facilitate easy and wide access. The shower room is large with plenty of wheelchair maneuvering and a power shower.

There is a double bedroom and a twin-bedded room (sleeps adults) with side views to orchards and the mountains beyond. Large outside private patio and gas barbecue. All floors are beautifully tiled. A lovely cool apartment in the summer heat.

The property is next to the canal and less than 5 minutes walk to the River Ebro and peaceful country lanes to stroll down. There is access to fish from the river bank and you can launch a boat at nearby Xerta or near the Rowing & Sailing club in Tortosa.

Fishing licenses can be obtained in advance. If you wish to have a pleasurable one, three or more days out on the river in the company of an experienced river guide for both giant carp and giant Wells cat fishing, we can book these for you too... but we do need advance warning as they book up quickly in season.

Your host Peter is a font of information like where to eat out, what to visit and what activities are available.

This is an ideal spot to radiate out from whether your interest is beaches (20 minutes away), birdlife (feathered or otherwise), hiking, cycling (the Greenway is only minutes away) or the more energetic mountain biking, horse riding (can be arranged), and rowing. Even motorbike and go kart circuits are not too far away.

Alternatively, within the immediate area there are fantastic facilities for a family holiday such as adventure & water parks, animal parks, sea life marinas, and of course all the water sports associated with being within an easy driving distance to the delta coast. Or let the train take the strain - there is something for everyone.

Very clean, fully-equipped kitchens

The kitchen is modern with gas hob, fridge, microwave and separate electric grill and separate door opening onto the terrace to support eating "El fresco".

Spain is more than just sunshine, sangria and great cuisine. It is rich in monumental heritage and dazzling natural environment, where lovers of the outdoors can participate in activities all year round.

If you are considering relocating or retiring The Orange Grove is ideal for a couple of days or a long stay (subject to availability) while you find your dream property.
