Dear Friends,

If you have been following along with all our letters, you know by now that we ran out of money long before we were able to finish the house. But time marches on and Mother is going to be 80 in mid February, and she has invited the world. Of course, we will be happy if just some immediate relatives show up. But what will they think of our humble rustic abode?

We scraped together some more Euros and managed just enough for some more bricks and finally divided the giant bedroom into two, so Athol won't have to share a room with us when he shows up. At least we are sure he is coming! We will believe it when we see it with the other brothers.

No time to fix the ceiling panels though, because we only have temporary electricity until Xerta Tony or Benifallet Mountain Retreat Barry gets back from the UK and has time to fix it properly for us. The kitchen is still fat planks on trestle tables, and most of the rooms only have rough floors, but it will have to do for now. At least we are airtight, have those great windows, and a big supply of firewood for the fireplace in the main room.

Regards,

Roseann and family.

PS. Any craftspersons always welcome...
